More than a cane. It's a gait trainer!
These canes (SureStep® and SureFoot®) are made with an "ankle" and a "foot" articulated (moves back and forward) for increased traction and security. The "foot" maintains constant contact with the terrain over an 18 square inch surface (about the size of a brick) for greater surface grip and support. The "ankle" (springs) let the foot move so the Stepper "walks with you." This gives the user access to all surface types and increased mobility.

These revolutionary, user-friendly products are made of aircraft aluminum and stainless steel -- making them very sturdy and lightweight. All Steppers are height adjustable and able to stand alone. They provide added stability, greater accessibility and convenience not offered in traditional canes. The Sure Foot and Sure Step are the world's only stand-alone canes with an ankle that "walks with you."

Typically, using a cane requires a person to be cautious about where the tip is placed, restricting where it can be used, and increasing the chance of a fall and injury. This isn't so with a Stepper! They can be used on most walking surfaces, including stairs, snow, grass and stones. The slid-resistant 3" by 6" base of a Stepper will take you where you need to go. In fact, users often describe their Sure Stepper as an extra leg and foot.

Write your own review 1 - Place Stepper 12-18" in front of you -- heel down first. The spring system softens the impact on your hand/arm and allows the Stepper to walk with you. 2 - As weight is applied to the foot, it becomes aligned with the walking surface. You may be able to take 2-3 steps before lifting the Stepper again. 3 - As you walk past the Stepper, the foot remains flat on the walking surface – enabling continued stability and maximum support. It's like having an extra leg and foot! 4 - After walking past it, it's easy to move the lightweight Stepper forward – heel down first again. You should continue to walk with confidence.
