Placing Your First Order

Browsing and buying from VidaCura is easy and safe. You don’t even have to create an account with us. Here are the steps you need to follow to place an order.

1. Find the items you want

First you will need to browse or search for the items you would like to order. Search boxes are located in the top, right corner of most pages of our store. You can also search by the product department/categories listed on the left side of most pages. When you move your mouse over a department, the categories beneath that department will appear. You can also search for products by the part of the body they’re used with, by common illnesses or by product brand. Those search controls are along the lower-left side of most pages also.

When you find an item that interests you, click the title or picture of the item to see its product detail page. Here you will find more information about the item, be able to look at and select colors and/or sizes that the product might come in.

2. Add the Items to Your Shopping Cart
If you want to order an item from VidaCura, click the "Add to Cart" button on the item's product detail page. Once you've added an item to your Shopping Cart, keep searching or browsing until your cart contains all of the items you want to order. You can access the contents of your Shopping Cart at any time by clicking the "Shopping Cart icon" /> button at the top of every page of our webSite.

The mini-shopping cart appears in the upper right-hand corner of most pages on that lists the items in your cart and offers you an opportunity to check out at any time by just checking one of the payment buttons.

3. Proceed to Checkout
Take a moment to review all of the items you've placed in your Shopping Cart. If you decide that you don't want to purchase a particular item, you can check the box next to the price and then click the “Update Cart” button. The item will be removed from your cart.

You may continue shopping by clicking the words <Continue Shopping beneath the items. When you're ready to place your order for everything in the Shopping Cart, click the Checkout> word beneath the items. You will be taken to the “Begin Checkout” page.

4. Choose a Shipping Method and calculate the costs
Below the shopping cart list of items, click on the “Show Details” link to display your shipping options and make a selection.

Consider how quickly you would like to receive your order, and choose a shipping method. Please note that it's not possible to request a specific carrier. You will see estimated shipment and delivery dates in the e-mail we send you to confirm your order. The shipping charge for your order will be displayed on the order summary page just before you submit your order.

5. Sign In
If you’re a returning customer and you've registered, you can enter your email address and password. If this is your first time ordering, enter your email address and phone number in the box on the left. This information is strictly in case there’s a problem during checkout. (Keep in mind that the e-mail address you provide here will be the only e-mail address to which we can send information about subsequent orders.) Click the “Continue" button.

6. Enter your Shipping and Billing Addresses
Tell us where you would like to ship your order. Please note that we cannot ship to a post office box. Please provide a street address. A daytime telephone number is helpful in expediting your order in case we should have some questions about it. On the right-hand side of the screen, you’ll enter your billing address information. If it’s the same as the shipping address, just check the box at the top of the column.

If you’d like to have your order shipped on a future date, enter it in the “Requested Ship Date” field.

7. Provide Payment Information and a Password
Next, let us know how you would like to pay for your order. We accept Discover, MasterCard, Visa, Visa Check Cards, money orders, PayPal, Google checkout or check denominated in U.S. dollars and drawn on a U.S. bank. If you're paying with a credit card, enter the number without spaces or dashes. By the way, VidaCura never charges your credit card until your order is on its way.

8. Review and Submit Your Order
Here you’re given an opportunity to look over your order for accuracy and completeness. Check all of the information you provided and make any necessary adjustments. When you are ready, click the "Submit Order" button to submit your order. Once you place your order, we will send you a confirmation e-mail message. We will send you another e-mail message at the time of shipment.

9. Check Your Order Status
If you would like to review or change something about the order you placed before it enters the shipping process, click the My Account link in the top menu bar on most pages on our Site. Here you will be able to change the particulars of your order without having to contact us. Note that our shipping process works quickly. Once you've placed your order, it might dififcult to catch it.

The VidaCura No-Stress Return Policy

We want you to be satisfied with your purchase from VidaCura.
In most cases, if you’re not happy with your order, return it within 30 days for your choice of a refund or exchange.

Our return policy applies to most items we sell. If the return is a result of our error, we’ll pay the shipping costs to return it to us and either exchange the item or refund your money including shipping costs; whichever you choose. If you're returning an item for any other reason, we do not refund shipping costs and you'll need to be responsible for the shipping costs back to us. Please read this section and also the return process before returning any item.

Non-returnable items
Items that are not returnable are as follows:

  • Items where we’re prohibited by law from taking back usually for health or hygenic reasons such as mattresses and certain apparel items.
  • Items that have been used.
  • Deeply discounted, scratch-and-dent, clearance and final sale items (and we’ll say so in the product description).
  • Items that have been made to order or custom-fitted.
  • All CD's and DVD's.
  • Any product missing the serial number or UPC code from the package.
  • Items that have been modified or customized.
  • Gift certificates.

Items subject to a restocking fee
Returned beds, lift chairs, powered and non-powered, lightweight and sport wheelchairs, cold therapy units and their accessories and items that have been used are subject to a restocking fee of 15%. Also, items that are returned without all accessories, instructions and packaging may be subject to additional fees.

Return of promotional and quantity discounted items
If you’re returning items that were part of a combination promotion such as buy-one-get one free or you’re returning a portion of a larger quantity of items whose original purchase qualified you for a quantity discount, the original purchase price will be recalculated on the basis of the items you’re keeping and you will be refunded the difference between what you paid and that new calculated amount.   For example, if we offer bandages for $1.25 each or five for $5.00, you purchase five of them and then decide to return four, your refund would be $3.75.

After 30 days
After thirty days, many of our products are covered by a manufacturer's warranty and they'll repair or replace defective items. For information about a particular manufacturer warranty, check the product page, check the warranty information taht came with your product or email us at

All returns require an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number before returning to us.

How to return an item

All returns require a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) before any items are to be returned. Here are the steps to follow to complete your return and be assured that you’ll receive proper credit:

  1. We will send you the return authorization number and the address to which to return your item(s).
  2. Pack your returned item carefully so that it won’t be damaged during the returned shipping process. Make sure that you include all the parts, accessories, instructions and warranty materials that originally came with the product and that where applicable, the product’s serial number and UPC code on the package are still intact. We reserve the right to issue a partial return for items missing these things.

If you’ve asked for a credit to your credit card, you should expect to receive your refund within 30 days of our receipt of your return. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days). Corporate Accounts

Hospitals, rehabilitation facilities, insurance companies and and other businesses who need home medical and wellness products are all welcome to create a corporate account at Anything in our store can be purchased with a corporate account. Our Corporate Accounts program offers many advantages to corporations and institutional customers. Multiple authorized purchasers can buy items for one corporate account, and account managers can track purchases across their organization.

Paying by purchase order
Corporate account customers are also given the opportunity to apply for a credit line, which allows corporate purchasers to pay by purchase order and receive one detailed monthly bill for all corporate purchases. If you want to pay with a purchase order, you must first apply for a corporate account and credit limit. Once you have established a corporate account, follow the instructions below to place an order.

Customized web presence
Our corporate customers can be provided with a view of VidaCura.Com that has been customized to meet your product needs. We can present a customized product assortment, etc. We can also build “quick-order” templates so that Claims Processors, Case Managers, etc. can quickly place an order for commonly needed items. Account managers will be able to login to the corporate account management area to view all corporate orders placed on the account and much more, all in one secure place.

Item Availability

Most of the products that you see offered at are available for immediate purchase and delivery. Once you've placed an order with us, we'll acknowledge receipt of that order almost immediately and we'll begin processing your order. If you've purchased by credit card, one of the first steps we'll perform is to verify that the card is valid, that it belongs to you and that once the order ships, we'll be able to charge your card for your order.

If your item is not available
In the event the product you ordered is not available, we will advise you immediately along with an estimate of when the product will be available. We may suggest an alternate product. You’ll always be given the option of choosing to wait for your product to be back in stock, cancelling your order without penalty or selecting something else.

Once your order ships, your credit card will be charged for the amount of the purchase.

Sales Tax

We collect sales tax for all taxable items shipped to Connecticut only. Residents of Connecticut are required to pay a 6.35% tax on taxable items. Tax will be calculated at the time of checkout. We refund collected taxes on all returned items.

Payment and pricing

All purchases made to VidaCura must be paid for in U.S. dollars. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, PayPal, Google Checkout, personal checks, bank checks and money orders. We also accept company purchase orders with prior credit approval. If you prefer to pay by check or money order, note that your order will be placed on hold until we receive your payment.

To mail us a payment, create your order. Then, when you receive your email confirmation for the order, print the confirmation and enclosed it along with your payment to us at the address shown on the confirmation message.

A special note about "MSRP's"
We don't show MSRP's (also known as Manufacturer Suggested Retail Price" at for a simple reason. Virtually none of the manufacturers whose products we sell actually have MSRP's for their products. But that doesn't stop many online retailers from making them up so as to imply that you're saving big money when you buy a product from them. When you see a power scooter with a "manufacturer's suggested retail price of $5,700" and then their price of $2,700, beware.

Orders awaiting payment for longer than thirty days will be automatically cancelled.

U.S. Delivery rates and times

We ship our products to residential and commercial street addresses. Sorry, but we cannot ship to Post Office boxes. We offer three delivery options; Standard, Expedited and for certain products Premium Handling. All orders are shipped via by reputable carriers including United Parcel Service, Federal Express and the Postal Service. You’ll have an opportunity to see the various shipping options and make your selection before completing your order.

Delivery time factors
Actual delivery time varies based on two factors; our order processing time including credit card processing and then the time it takes the delivery company to transport the item from the warehouse to your door. As a general rule, allow two days for order processing time, although we love surprising our customers with fast service. Then, you'll need to allow the delivery company time to deliver the package from our warehouse to your door. If you order multiple items in one order, we’ll ship each of them as they are available.

OPTION #1 Standard Shipping (usually 3 -7 days- your best deal!)
The price for Standard shipping is 15% of the value of your order with a minimum charge of $7.95 and a maximum charge of $49.95.
Standard Shipping is available for almost all of our items to all 50 states. (excluding heavy / oversize items). Orders shipped via Standard Shipping will arrive within three to seven business days to most locations. Delivery times to Alaska and Hawaii may take an additional 5-7 days. Most of our items are delivered by carriers who deliver six days a week, Monday – Saturday.

OPTION #2 Expedited Shipping
The price for Expedited shipping is 30% of the value of your order with a minimum charge of $39.95 and a maximum charge of $79.95
Expedited Shipping is available for non-heavy/non-oversized items to the 48 contiguous states. Most expedited orders will arrive in less than two business days plus order processing time.

Heavy/oversized items
Some items like wheelchairs, walkers, rollaters, bath chairs and scooters may have additional shipping charges due to their large size or weight. If there's surcharge, it will be shown on the page featuring the product.

OPTION #3 Inside delivery / assembly of certain items
Our regular delivery options include delivery of your VidaCura purchase to your door. Some items like lift chairs, beds and scooters may be bulky and/or require assembly. We can do this for you with our Inside / Setup service. For a small fee, our bonded and insured team will deliver the item to the room in your home of your choice, unpack and set it up, test it to make sure it's working properly and remove all empty cartons and packaging materials. We offer this service as an optional purchase when you order products that might need it.

Prescriptions often serve two purposes:
By virtue of their nature, certain medical products require a physician’s prescription. In those instances, we must have a copy of the prescription before we can ship the product. Products that require a prescription are designated as such on our webSite.

Additionally, most health plans require a prescription before they will reimburse for healthcare products. If your healthcare professional recommends that you acquire and use a health product, ALWAYS obtain for a written prescription from them.

IMPORTANT! Prescription completeness and accuracy is critical
In order for a prescription to be valid it must contain the following: the full name and age of the recipient, the date it was written, a detailed description of the item being prescribed and the condition it is meant to treat, instructions for its use, physician License number and physician signature. Please be sure the prescription is valid before sending it to us. Items that require a prescription can only be dispensed with valid prescriptions.

Scan it into Acrobat®, jpg or gif format. Then, attach it to an email message with your full name and a daytime phone number in the subject line of the email message. Email it to

What Personal Information about customers does VidaCura gather?

The information we learn from customers helps us personalize and continually improve your shopping experience at Here are the types of information we gather.

How VidaCura handles customer information

Information about our customers is an important part of our business, but we are not in the business of selling it to others. We share customer information only as described below.

  • Third-Party Service Providers: We employ other companies and individuals to perform functions on our behalf. Examples include fulfilling orders, delivering packages, providing assembly services, sending postal mail and e-mail, removing repetitive information from customer lists, analyzing data, providing marketing assistance, providing search results and links (including paid listings and links), processing credit card payments, and providing customer service.   • Promotional Offers: Sometimes we send offers to selected groups of customers on behalf of other businesses. When we do this, we do not give your name and address to other businesses.

How we work to keep your information safe

  • We have appropriate physical, electronic and procedural secruity safeguards to protect and secure the information we collect.
  • We work to protect the security of your information during transmission by using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software, which encrypts information you input.
  • We reveal only the last five digits of your credit card numbers when confirming an order. Of course, we transmit the entire credit card number to the appropriate credit card company during order processing.

Third-Party Advertisers and Links to Other WebSites

Our Site includes third-party advertising and links to other webSites. We do not provide any personally identifiable customer information to these advertisers or third-party webSites. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your Account Information or any other breach of security. VidaCura shall not, in any manner, be responsible or liable for fraudulent purchases or other usesthat are made using your compromised Account Information.

4. No Warranties
Living Well Stores, its affiliates and licensor does not warrant that the Site or its services will meet your requirements, or that the Site or services will be uninterrupted or error-free or that defects in the Site will be corrected. We attempt to represent all of our products accurately, including product prices. Nevertheless, we are not responsible for typographical errors. The Site and the content and services made available on the Site are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Living Well Stores does not make any express or implied warranties, representations or endorsements whatsoever (including, but not limited to, warranties of title or non-infringement, or the implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose) with regard to the Site, the Site content, any merchandise or services provided through the Site or on the internet generally, other than Living Well Store's product guarantee. Living Well Stores shall not be liable for any cost or damage arising either directly or indirectly from any transactions entered into through the Site. Some states may not permit the disclaimer of implied warranties, so the foregoing disclaimer may not apply to you.

We DO NOT OFFER MEDICAL ADVICE and nothing should be construed as implying otherwise. We recommend that you always check with your doctor or other healthcare professional before beginning any kind of self-treatment, fitness regimen or other medically related activity.

6. System Outages
We periodically schedule system downtime for maintenance and other purposes because we want the Site to be available for you as often as possible. In addition, unplanned system outages also may occur. VidaCura disclaims any and all liability whatsoever for the resulting unavailability of the Site or for any loss of data or transactions caused by planned or unplanned system outages or the resultant delay, misdelivery, or nondelivery of information caused by such system outages. VidaCura disclaims any and all responsibility for any third party acts or any other outages of web host providers or the Internet infrastructure and network external to the Site.

7. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend and hold Living Well Stores, its affiliates, licensor, officers, directors, employees, attorneys, and agents harmless from and against any and all claims, demands, actions, costs, liabilities, losses and damages of any kind (including actual attorneys' fees) resulting from (i) your use, misuse or abuse of the Site, (ii) your use of products or services provided through the Site, or (iii) your breach of any provision of this Agreement. You will cooperate as fully as reasonably required in Living Well Store's defense of any claim. Living Well Stores reserves the right, at its own expense, to assume the exclusive defense and control of any matter otherwise subject to indemnification by you and you shall not in any event settle any matter without the written consent of the company.

8. Intellectual Property
The contents of the Site, such as text, graphics, logos, audio clips, video, photographs, software, and other information (the "Content") are operated by Living Well Stores under license from VidaCura, Incorporated and/or its affiliates or partners, suppliers or other contracting parties and such Content is protected by federal and international copyright and trademark laws, or other proprietary rights. Licensed content may be licensed from third parties and all such third party Content and all intellectual property rights related to the third party Content belong to the respective third parties. These rights are protected in all forms, media and technologies existing now or hereinafter developed. You may print and download portions of the Content from the different areas of the Site solely for your personal non-commercial use. No portion of the Content may be reprinted, republished, modified, or distributed in any form without the express written permission of VidaCura. You may not, and this Agreement does not give you permission to, reproduce, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, modify, transmit, sell, distribute, license or create derivative works with respect to the Site. You may not remove, alter or modify any copyright, trademark or other intellectual property or proprietary notice or legend contained on the Site or the Content. Any rights not expressly granted by this Agreement or any applicable end-user license agreements are reserved by VidaCura. Nothing contained herein shall be construed as conferring by implication, estoppels or otherwise any license or right under any patent or trademark of VidaCura or any third party. Except as expressly provided above, nothing contained herein shall be construed as conferring any license or rights under any VidaCura copyright.

9. Limitation of Liability
Under no circumstances shall we or any other party involved in creating, producing, or distributing the Site or providing products or services through the Site be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages for loss of profits, goodwill, use, data or other intangible losses (even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages) that result from (i) the use of or inability to use the Site (ii) the cost of procurement of substitute products and services resulting from any products, data, content or services purchased or obtained or transactions entered into through or from the Site; (iii) unauthorized access to or alteration of your transmissions or data; (iv) statements, warranties, guarantees or conduct of VidaCura or any third party on the Site, including but not limited to statements about the use or functionality of any products or services purchased through the Site; (v) damage, injury or economic loss related to the use of products or services purchased through the Site or (bi) any other matter relating to the Site. You hereby acknowledge that this paragraph shall apply to all content, products, and services available through the Site. In no event shall VidaCura’s total cumulative liability with respect to any facts or circumstances exceed the greater of: the purchase price of any product or service purchased through the Site; or, where no product or service was purchased in connection with such facts or circumstances, the amount of $1.00. Because some states may not allow the exclusion or limitation of liability for consequential or incidental damages, in such states liability is limited to the least amount permitted by law. The limitations of liability provided in this agreement inure to the benefit of VidaCura, our affiliates, and to all of our respective officers, directors, employees, attorneys and agents.

10. Your Account and Membership Obligations
In consideration of your use of the Site, if you provide any information that is untrue, inaccurate, not current or incomplete, or we have reasonable grounds to suspect that such information is untrue, inaccurate, not current or incomplete, we may, in our sole discretion, suspend or terminate your account and decline to permit your continued use of the Site and future access to the Site.

11. Governing Law and Jursidction
You acknowledge and agree that any disputes between you and Living Well Stores, its licensor, affiliates, officers, directors, employees, attorneys or agents arising out of your access to and/or use of Content, this Site, the purchase of products or services, this Agreement, and/or the Privacy Statement, shall be governed by the laws of the state of Florida as if entered into solely by residents thereof, without regard to its conflicts of laws provisions, and any action taken by either of us against the other shall be brought in a court of appropriate jurisdiction in Duval County, Florida, and you expressly agree to venue and personal and subject matter jurisdiction in such court.
